First blog. Be gentle with me. Work is good and tough at the same time. The Anthony Walker case left a scar on Liverpool at just the wrong time. Just get the impression that it suits the rest of the country to keep us down. They need a whipping boy to cover up their own failings.
Just think we're better, stronger, more resilient now. We'll move on quickly.
Pleased with Monday's paper. Felt we had nice mix of stuff all the way through. Stuff you'll never find in the national papers.
Had a great meeting with Radio City marketing Director Lisa Blowers and John Bishop the comedian.
John does stuff for City and we're keen for him to write for us. As amusing in a meeting as he is on the stage. His star is in the ascendancy and set for big future I reckon.
Spent couple of hours preparing a preparation on Echo progress. Done a lot, lot still to do, to paraphrase a politician.
Paper getting better though, excellent people to work with. Passionate readership.
Our Naked Liverpool series is starting to gather momentum. Could be a huge success - or get me fired. Worth a look - sometimes not for the faint-hearted.
Played 5-a-side with colleagues after work. All over 40. Father Ted football, someone cruelly described it as. Told son Harry, 13, I scored five goals. He said: 'Yeah dad, whatever. In your dreams.'
Nightmare at home. My litle girl, Morgan, aged 3, says: 'Daddy, I don't like football.'
How do you cope with something as shocking as this? Nothing in the books.
Hit back by saying 'I don't like Cbeebies.' Made her watch 20 minutes of Spurs v Portsmouth as punishment. May need educational psychologist.
Harry, says he's top of his year in RE. RE? what happened to maths, science, English?
Goldfish floating upside down. Changed water and swimming around again. Must be 10 years old. Big as a shark. Can't have long left.
