Awards

Late night at the Liverpool Echo Enterprise Awards. Lots of great businesses. Had a really nice half hour chat with guest speaker Ruth Badger, famed for TV's The Apprentice. Hers is a forthright girl who shares my belief that you get whatever you want in life is you really want it enough.
I don't know though that she's ever really considers work-life balance. He single-mindedness may change if she had children. She was great fun though and a terrific motivator.
Also nice to see David Wade Smith from Liversmart/Mersey Tourism/Chamber of COmmerce and his wife Jane.
David cares passionately about Liverpool and had some thoughts on the rolew the media could play in celebrtaing its ongoing renaissance.
Jane rund The Room Store at The Albert Dock - it's a tough trading environment at present and she could do with The Dock taking off a bit. I think the new Arena could help.
Jane also told me not to worry about Morgan. As a mum of two she's well placed to advise and I felt easier about Morgan's nauightiness after speaking to Jane.
Wish Morgan would stay in her own bed though. Four Thirty Am ...'Get out daddy!' Knackered, I don't feel like arguing. I go into her bed, she goes in with Lynne.
She only three, Lynne says. When should I start to worry? Someone tell me.
Regional Business Awards tonight. Another late one. Rotten cold. Weekend coming, some golf, some England football and some family time. Fantastic!
