Cbi dinner
Harry at Playhouse
Reds and Blues
Poodle or Protagonist

What am I as a newspaper editor. A poodle or a protagonist? To do this job well you have to walk the line and make the calls as you see fit. You can't please everyone, though you should try to treat everyone with fairness.
I was reeling (for about 15 seconds) when someone opposed to the current Liverpool administration called me a 'council mouthpiece'. Then a senior council figure accused me of 'pursuing an agenda of negativity' against them.
Happy days. As long as they both think I favour the other side then We're probably doing ok.
Like I always say, I get as much hate mail from Reds fans as I do from Blues. It's a great mneasure of equity.
So proud of my son, Harry who is currently appearing at the Playhouse in their production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons. It is his first professional role.
He auditioned for it and got it. Acting alongside some fantastic names and talent will be good for him. He wants to make the stage a career although he knows just how long the odds are against.
For once Harry is getting the attention ahead of his 3-year-old sister. She has been banging on about Disneyworld for months now and I've told her we'll go in the summer if we can.
I found some old pictures of when Lynne and I went about 15 years ago and excitedly showed them to her, talking animatedly about what a great time we'd had.
After two or three minutes she fixed me with her blue eyes and said: 'Daddy. Calm down.'
CBI dinner at Crowne Plaza tonight.

Good luck to your Harry. Sounds like a level headed lad. Go easy on the pate de foie gras tonight!

Congratulations to Harry, fantastic news. Wish we had known and could have gone to see it.
