Machray family Christmas

My glass is definitely half empty. And is now empty altogether (more or less) as I've begun training for the Liverpool half marathon in March.

Morgan in homemade pirate's hat eats pasta. She loves pasta. And pirates.

I was forced to make pasta and meatballs over New Year after watching seven straight episodes of The Sopranos. Nice if I say so myself. Mostly eaten by Harry.

Morgan in homemade pirates outfit. She saw one in Tesco but was told 'no' as she'd had presents at Christmas. She took it so well. Told a friend of ours in Tesco that she 'mustn't be greedy.' So Lynne, her mum and dad managed a homemade effort.

Lynne had a really good Christmas. It appears the steroids are starting to make a difference. Hairs on her chest are a worry though! (Only joking).

The Aga. Without which we are nothing. Had one as a child and managed my own eight years ago. Adore it. It packed up five days before Christmas. A succession of gas engineers laughed down the phone when we suggested they might come out before the festivities. God Bless and thanks to the Chshire firm which eventually did.

Harry and his grandmother.

Harry tries street-cred-meets-mean-moody-and-magnificent. Fails.

All those toys and what did she play with? The inside of a roll of wrapping paper.

Peeling the potatoes while others slob out. I know what Gordon Ramsey would have said.

Christmas lunch. Morgan shocked us by asking for a Turkey leg. 'She'll never eat it,'' said everyone.....

Morgan and her grandfather.
