Liverpool v Arsenal. Tough at the track. The final episode.
Made it home to see the second half of Liverpool v Arsenal on the telly. Astounding stuff. The quality of Arsenal's young reserves set against the quality of Liverpool's sets a bleak picture for the future.
Looking forward to Chris Bascombe's report in tonight's Echo. Chris believes there is a malaise that has been affecting the club for 10 years and that some overhauling is necessary if Benitez is to take the team forward.
Thought the Reds fans were absoltely magnificent at the end of the game when they sang, scarves aloft, as the final acts of a huge embarrassment were played out in front of them.
Most sets of supporters would have beaten a path for the exits long before. The club should never, ever take this type of support for granted. It's not a vote of confidence.
Could not help but get irritated at how much Andy Gray seemed to be enjoying Liverpool's humiliation. I know he's an ex-Blue but he's a top commentator and as such should be able to put personal allegiances to one side. I suppose anyone's entitled to an off night. Just ask Liverpool.
Had earlier done my three miles at the gym. Found it surprisingly tough. I wonder if doing that distance around a 200m track is a problem? I certainly seemed far more tired than I was doing the same distance or more on the road on Sunday. Advice from seasoned runners would be appreciated???
Watched last episode of series 2 of the Sopranos in bed. Utter genius. Series three should arrive from Amazon today....
