jan 15 2007. Running. Goldilocks

Running. Amateur dramatics.

Pleased with myself. Did 45 minutes running at gym on Thursday night then 5 miles on Saturday morning. Felt ok and for first time starting to think completing the half marathon in March might be possible.

Bored rigid though, on the treadmill at the gym. It really is mindless stuff. Had MP3 player going, but as I'm not a huge music fan so it only helped a little.

Must be something good comedy-wise that I could download. Any ideas anyone?

Much preferred Saturday when the high winds subsided long enough for me to run along the prom at Hoylake to Meols then back through the town to home. Felt strong at the end.

Dad's chauffeur service in operation. Harry to football training on Friday night then to rugby on Saturday morning. Morgan to friend's birthday party on Sunday.

She won prizes at the party but was still less than happy. 'The lady said: 'you can't win every time, Morgan''' she said as I put her in the car. 'Why can't I win every time?''

Bloody good question. 'You have to share the prizes, so that everyone has a good time,' was the best I could manage.

Later forced to take part of Goldilocks in Morgan's front-room adaptation of The Three Bears fairytale.

'Daddy, put this on your head,'' she ordered, waving two pieces of yellow kitchen roll at me. 'Why,?' I ventured.

''Because you're Goldilocks and you haven't got any hair,' she explained.

Cheers.

Harry and I got two hours off to watch Newcastle's amazing win at Spurs. Astounding goal from Obafemi Martins who is going to be a remarkable player.

Lynne had bad weekend and felt pretty shaky. Less than three weeks to Thailand trip. Not sure what to do,

Go to Thailand... and just let Lynne do her own thing at her own pace... make sure she gets plenty of rest and have a fantastic family time... She might as well be tired in Thailand in beautiful surroundings having a fantastic family holiday as be tired at home under grey skies and howling wind.... Enjoy your break... you all deserve it..
