Town Hall event Football finale
At a lovely event at Liverpool's beautiful Town Hall yesterday to launch three of the Echo (and Post's) new book for 2007.
We had a great turnout to listen to us talk about Echoes of Liverpool, Liverpool Then, Discover Liverpool and The Joy of Murder.
I've been involved in Echoes of Liverpool which tells Liverpool's history through the eyes of the Echo. It's a fun, coffee table book and would make a great gift.
Liverpool Then is a nostalgia-focused book full of extraordinary pictures from our archives while Ken Py's Discover Liverpool is as comprehensive and informative as Ken himself.
The delightful Joy Swift has written about her remarkable life as well as the histoy of the murder mystery weekends she invented. And she rounds off her book with a mystery for readers to solve.
We'll be running one of Joy's murders in the Echo later this year. Should be fun.
Joy's book is out in a few days but the others are available now from the following link.
Great win for Reds; Blues still in with a chance of Europe. Should be a thrill-packed finale to the football season with a succession of critical games. Good news for the Echo.
Lynne desperately down. Hoping new medication kicks in but she's been told it could take six weeks.
Looking forward to seeing Harry in Much Ado About Nothing at Liverpool Playhouse next week. Has rehearsals every day this week - including Good Friday.
