had worst chinese meal i've ever had in mr tangs chinatown ny.
greasy, tasteless, stodgy. why do they think they can get away with serving this appalling slop to tourists? because we put up with it, that's why.
they say 'how was your meal' and we nod and say..'fine thanks' rather than make a fuss. this time the worm turned. my colleague and travelling companion mark said..'the duck was bland, the prawns so so and the rice was terrible,. bravo. he did it quietly and politely, striking a blow for tourists the world over.
otherwise ny sensational. walked for miles after amazing study visit to news journal in whiite plains and new york times.
will come back brimming with ideas and really up for it.
bought presents for family. mark gone back. I'm on my own, let loose in the most exciting city on earth and i'm in the bloody disney store.
