Feb 4 2008 City TalkPanornama Anne Frank, Micheline
Have been doing a 10-minute slot on Radio City's new Talk station CityTalk each weekday morning. Enjoying the chance to talk about that day's Echo when I link up by phone with Duncan Barkes at about 9.50am.
Actually did it from the studio on Friday as I was at Radio Ciy Tower for an Echo strategy meeting at 10.
Never been in a meeting quite like it. The winds were horrendous on Friday and there was definite and disconcerting movement at the top opf the Tower.
One or two of our team felt more than a bit queasy. I tried to tell them it was all imagination - but at that moment the cupboard doors flew open as the room lurched.
Talking of high-rise, the new Panorama Restaurant on the 34th floor of West Tower next to the Echo offices is stunning. I popped into the openiong party the other night and was blown away - this time for the best of reasons.
More on that if I can ever book a table...
Took Lynne, Morgan, Harry to the Anne Frank exhibition at the Anglican Cathedral on Sunday. Moving mix of her story and current examples of intolerance and child abuse. On until Friday so time running out.
Bumped into a beautiful, talented artist friend in Hoylake last night. She asked after Lynne who has been struggling lately. She said she'd read about huge condition improvement in an MS patient who had learned to play the harp.
I'm a journalist, a sceptic and a borderline cynic. But the way Lynne is, I could cope with a miracle. Will be checking the Echo classified columns for a harp.
